About the Immersion Learning Experience

As a prelude to the 2008 Work Life Legacy Award Dinner, Families and Work Institute presented its first “immersion learning experience,” an afternoon session that provided many interactive experiences, with Bob Johansen, PhD, IFTF Distinguished Fellow and Founder of the Institute for the Future. "An Immersion into the Future" was held on Monday, June 9, 2008 from 1:30 to 5:30 pm at Cipriani 42nd Street, New York City. Deloitte was the Sponsor of the 2008 Immersion Learning Experience “Afternoon Tea” and a Sponsor of the 2008 Work Life Legacy Award. A Private Cocktail Reception with the 2008 Work Life Legacy Award Honorees exclusively for Immersion Learning Experience participants and Work Life Legacy Award Sponsors was held at 5:30 pm at Cipriani 42nd Street.

The 2009 Immersion Learning Experience was held on Monday, June 15, 2009 at Cipriani 42nd Street 110 East 42nd Street, New York City from 4:00 to 5:30 pm. “Looking Back, Looking Ahead: A Conversation on Work Life Research and Practice,” featured Kaye Foster-Cheek, Vice-President, Human Resources, Johnson & Johnson and Ellen Galinsky, President and Co-Founder, Families and Work Institute.
