Alliance for Work-Life Progress
AWLP is a membership organization committed to the development and advancement of the field of work-life effectiveness through promotion of healthy, productive work environments that value people and support personal life and family issues, while at the same time advancing business success. AWLP addresses work-life issues through publications, forums and professional development strategies. We strive to improve the professionalism of those working in the work-life arena, and to lead and influence better integration of work and family life. AWLP is proud to lead the National Work-Life Initiative, a multi-year national campaign to provide education and heighten awareness of work-life effectiveness as a key business issue. AWLP recently became an affiliate organization of WorldatWork, a 25,000-member education association whose mission is to advance the state of the profession in compensation, benefits and total rewards. Together, AWLP and WorldatWork represent the totality of the human resources profession that is rapidly moving toward a “total rewards” value package for employees that, in turn, helps employers attract and retain the talent they need to stay competitive.

Business Backs BreastfeedingTM: A Flexible Workplace Program for Breastfeeding Mothers
Business Backs BreastfeedingTM is a comprehensive workplace lactation program designed to help businesses support breastfeeding mothers upon their return to work. It contains everything employers need to create a successful program, including sample materials and resources. Ross Products Division of Abbott Laboratories developed Business Backs BreastfeedingTM in consultation with lactation experts who have implemented similar programs in a variety of businesses. The program was reviewed by a panel of experts from the fields of medicine, infant nutrition, and lactation consulting. Business Backs BreastfeedingTM can be downloaded at no cost at www.Ross.com.

Corporate Voices for Working Families is a non-partisan, non-profit corporate membership organization created to bring the private sector voice into the public dialogue on issues affecting working families. Corporate Voices' 46 partner companies employ more than 4 million individuals throughout all fifty states, with annual net revenues of $800 billion. Over 70% are listed in the Fortune 500, and all share leadership positions in developing family support policies for their own workforces. Corporate Voices has just released "Increasing the Visibility of the Invisible Workforce: Model Programs and Policies for Hourly and Lower Wage Employees," a review of best practices in 15 leading companies. The report is available on Corporate Voices' web site.

Flex-Options for Women - Flex-Options for Women is an initiative created by the Women's Bureau of the U.S. Department of Labor to encourage women business owners across the country to establish or expand workplace flexibility policies and practices. The project brings together women business owner participants with business mentors who have successfully implemented flexibility. Mentors share information, best practices and answer questions concerning workplace flexibility policies. Information and resources are also available via a Web site (www.we-inc.org), national teleconferences and local events.

Flex-Time Lawyers LLC - Flex-Time Lawyers LLC is a networking and support organization, with a mailing list of over 1100 lawyers who work a flexible and/or reduced schedule or seek a work/life resource in the law. Members meet monthly for lunch in New York and Philadelphia to discuss topics relating to work/life balance in the law and host guest speakers. The mission of the organization is to empower lawyers who seek a work/life resource by: 1. facilitating networking; 2. providing support and career guidance; and, 3. sharing information to effect change. Flex-Time Lawyers LLC is also advantageous to employers who benefit from their employees' networking and focus on issues such as time management while in the office, handling of work overflow, responsiveness while outside the office, morale, and overall productivity.
